These Crispy Spicy Salmon Bites are golden, crunchy, and packed with bold flavors! Made with fresh salmon, a perfectly seasoned crispy coating, and a hint of heat, they’re an irresistible appetizer or main dish. Serve them with spicy mayo or Sriracha honey glaze for the ultimate bite.

Ingredients

  • Salmon – 1 lb, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Seasonings – 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp paprika, ½ tsp chili powder, ½ tsp onion powder, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp black pepper
  • Coating – ½ cup panko breadcrumbs, ¼ cup cornstarch, 1 egg
  • Oil for frying – ½ cup avocado oil or canola oil
  • Spicy Mayo Dip: ½ cup mayo, 2 tbsp Sriracha, 1 tsp lime juice

Instructions

  • Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon dry and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
  • Season the Salmon: Toss the pieces with garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Bread the Salmon: Coat each piece in cornstarch, dip into beaten egg, then roll in panko breadcrumbs.
  • Cook the Salmon: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry the salmon bites for 2-3 minutes per side until crispy and golden brown. Alternatively, bake at 425°F for 12-15 minutes or air-fry at 400°F for 8-10 minutes.
  • Prepare the Spicy Mayo: Mix mayo, Sriracha, and lime juice in a bowl.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Drizzle the salmon bites with sauce or serve with dipping options like sweet chili sauce.

Notes

  • To make it gluten-free, use gluten-free panko or crushed rice crackers.
  • Adjust spice levels by increasing or reducing the chili powder and Sriracha.
  • For a healthier option, opt for air-frying or baking instead of deep frying.
