Pan-Seared White Fish on Creamy Spinach with lemon garnish

A restaurant-quality pan-seared white fish with a golden crust, served over a rich and velvety creamy spinach sauce. This easy seafood recipe is packed with flavor and perfect for a healthy and elegant dinner.

  • 2 white fish fillets (cod, halibut, or sea bass)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

 

Instructions

  • Pat the fish fillets dry and season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  • Heat a pan over medium-high heat with olive oil. Sear the fish for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  • Flip the fish and cook for another 2-3 minutes until fully cooked through. Remove from the pan.
  • In the same pan, add butter and garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
  • Add fresh spinach and cook until wilted.
  • Pour in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the sauce thickens.
  • Season with nutmeg and lemon juice. Stir well.
  • Serve the seared fish over the creamy spinach sauce. Garnish with extra Parmesan and a lemon wedge.
